Important Information
Warnings, deadlines and updates for candidates
Registration & Initial Administrative Fee
GEL 300 — due within 48 hours of signing the contract. Non-refundable under any circumstances, including if the process is discontinued or the candidate withdraws.
Performance Guarantee Deposit
The GEL equivalent of USD 1,000 — must be paid within 2 banking days of signing the contract. Fully refunded within 10 banking days if you depart for work in Israel, or if a work invitation/permit/visa is not issued for reasons independent of you or WVG. If you unjustifiably refuse to depart after receiving a work invitation, the deposit is forfeited as a penalty.
Document Accuracy
All documents and information you submit must be genuine, complete, and valid. Submitting false documents or information is a material breach of contract.
Special Deposit (from the employer)
The employer deposits a special monthly amount in the employee's name; this money belongs to the employee and is paid out after legally leaving Israel. If the employee stays illegally after their visa expires, significant deductions are made from the deposit, and prolonged illegal stay can forfeit the entire amount.
Abandoning the Job — Deportation Risk
The employee may not abandon the job on their own initiative or move to another employer illegally. Working for another employer or private work is a breach of the labor contract and B/1 visa conditions, and grounds for deportation.
Workplace Safety
The employee must use protective equipment, follow safety instructions, and attend safety training. Alcohol or drug use at the workplace is strictly prohibited. Violence, drug use, theft, or breaking Israeli law can be grounds for deportation.
Right to Change Employer
The employee has the right to change employer through the legally established procedure. Before making any decision, always contact Work Visa Georgia so your visa conditions aren't violated.
Process Timeline
Recruitment typically takes up to 60 days from signing, provided documents are submitted fully and on time. For reasons outside your or WVG's control (employer, consular/immigration procedures, flights, force majeure), it may extend up to 90 days.
WVG's Role
WVG is a licensed intermediary providing administrative, coordination, and information support. Final decisions on the job, salary, schedule, and working conditions rest with the foreign employer and relevant government authorities.
Obligations After Arrival
Upon arrival in Israel you must report to the employer within the agreed timeframe and must not leave your job without cause for at least 6 months. Unjustified abandonment can result in forfeiture of your guarantee deposit.
If a Problem Arises
If you experience a work, housing, or safety issue in Israel, notify WVG immediately in writing — we will help coordinate communication and mediation with the employer.
Working Hours & Workload in Israel
The employee is required to perform construction work for a minimum of 236 hours per month. Regular working hours are 182 hours per month; additional hours count as overtime and are paid separately. The work week is 42 hours, set by the employer.
Salary in Israel
Base salary is at least 6,300 Israeli shekels (NIS) per month, excluding overtime. Overtime is paid additionally: first 2 hours – 125%; subsequent hours – 150%; work on a rest day – 150–200%. Salary is paid only into an Israeli bank account opened in the employee's own name.
Housing & Insurance
The employer provides housing and private medical insurance for the entire period of employment in Israel. Housing must be used responsibly, maintaining cleanliness and safety.
Social Rights
The employee is entitled to paid annual leave, paid sick days, paid public holidays, and recovery pay ("Havra'a"). The employer provides a holiday gift twice a year.
